My favorite scope for 22RF long range shooting is a Vortex AMG w/ EBR-7 reticle that I borrow off my back-up PRS rig. Shown mounted on my SavageTR/MDT Chassis; and 200 yard performance.

I have a pair of SWFA 3-15×42 SFP on my rimfires. Great scope for the money.
I have two Savage 22's that both shoot exceptionally well. Interestingly, the lower velocity Match loads(1050p) that shoot superbly at 50-100 Yards, can fall apart at 200+ Yards. The 1200FPS+ loads hold together better at 200-400 yards, at least in my rifles. The CCI Mini-Max(1235FPS) and Federal HV Match(1200FPS) have been producing results .

My model 34 Remington has a 6-24X. With stingers it fired 7/8" for 14 shots at 100 yards!

This is 5 shots from mine at 50 yards with cci standard velocity. I've taken it out to 300 and soda cans aren't an issue as long as I get my wind calls right.

Yes, I can see good hits at long range with the standard velocity target loads as well if the wind is nill, or the read is perfect. Wind is the biggest factor at long range with the 22 rimfire, and it always seems to be an influence at distance, not only with cross winds, but head and tail winds as well. I've found that the extra 150FPS increase over the 1050FPS standard loads has made a difference with my first round hits at long range. I would however, place prioritity on accuracy.

I thought was the only crazy one taking 22s for the distance. They'll surprise people how accurate they can be atnlong distance. Reason I haven't tried the faster rounds out past 200 was because I was worried about the bullet going through the transonic phase so I went with the standards. Good to know though I'll give them a try. It shoots the cci mini mags pretty well.
I would expect they are already in the transonic phase well before 200 yards, perhaps even 100 uards, and the shape of the 22 slug iis optimal for low velocity stability as long as it's spinning fast enough.. all this being from what I can glean from Bryan Litz's book on ballistics. Not much different from the old buffalo cartridge rifles, but on a smaller scale.

A good budget option is the vortex diamondback HP. 3-12. Side focus, 90 moa elevation and another 10 in the BDC reticle.

For long range 22 rimfire shooting, I very much prefer to use a MIL scope. Whether dialing turrets or reticle for wind/elevation holds, the scales are easier to manage, particularly if using the reticle for wind holds. With my cartridge, at a MV of 1200FPS, the dope comparisons with a 100 yard zero are;
200 Yards: 5.0MILS— 17.0MOA/ FV wind 10MPH. 3.0MILS—10.4MOA
300 Yards: 11.5MILS—39.5MOA/ FV wind 10MPH. 4.0MILS—14.25MOA
400 Yards: 19.4MILS—66.5MOA/ FV wind 10MPH. 5.0MILS—18.25MOA
200 Yards: 5.0MILS— 17.0MOA/ FV wind 10MPH. 3.0MILS—10.4MOA
