Big Letdown FOXPRO FUSION

I sent mine back because the coyotes were chewing the unit up pretty bad, I decided if the coyotes didn't like it I didn't I didn't want it.

I appreciate the info on the Fusion. My buddy's call is a FoxPro and it isn't all that impressive either. I've been wondering why I don't just bring out one of the bluetooth speakers with decent range (not the Bose, it's range sucks, although the sound is great) and set it up. With the calling apps that are out there, it seems like it should work. I think that's basically what the Foxpro does anyway, and I'm pretty sure that's how the iHunt deal works. I may have to try that in my back yard in the next day or two.

That was my thought too...iphone and a 200 dollar pool side bluetooth mini boom box. I learned though that the fcc regulates all radio waves from devices and blue tooth is only allowed to reach about 60 ft I think. Thats the new bt. The original one is only about 30ft. So back to square one! Foxpro has its own radio frequency that obviously goes farther.
I just wish I knew about radio controlled stuff and could jerry rig my own invention. After all there are hobby drones that have fantastic range. If a guy could just take the transmission and receiver parts out of one and rig it to a boom box to trigger it to play then you would have something!

I have used a mouth call for years with moderate success. I thought I would up my game so I too bought a Fox Pro caller. I have sent it back twice for speaker issues and was not impressed with it overall. I have since bought a johnny stewart that I like better and it cost much less.

that some of the pro's on TV use the FoxPro with control and
a load speaker. for the price I can see where the gripes
originate. I wonder if the system mentioned would b better
than the $500 FoxPro. good info thank U

The 'pro's' on tv are foxpro field staff! Sort of like the (nightforce) long range shooting shows etc etc

If you 'need' to go shoot some varmints and need the range then I guess the 500 buck foxpro is the best option. My original post was about principle not cost.

I havent had the time or opportunity to inspect one of those convergent technology units so no comment other than 'interesting'. My primary concern is that it looks like it is a one man show small company so will it be around to fix or service in 4 years? I like to use google street view to check out small companies' facilities.

All of these will work but there are a few things that set the FoxPro apart from the others. Outstanding remote which is easily seen at night with great range and simplicity. The unit has great sound and volume. Fox Bang which changes the sound automatically when you shoot. It comes with 100 sounds of your choice. There are more. These are just the ones I use. Oh, and yes they have outstanding customer service. So to answer your question, NO.

Correct...it is the fusion thats the best pick for all around everything imo. No debate on that and thats why I bought one. The point of my original post is not that it dosent do what they say it does but disappointment in their corner cutting build quality for that kind of price. I can afford one but wont out of principle! So I returned it.
