300 SHERMAN vs "06

I think around 65 grains of RL26 and a 215 would move right along! Might be able to run N570 in that case with the heavies. 225 maybe?
I think the best choice in that case might be the 208 though.....rich

I've shot a lot of game with the 208 a max and eld m. Always works amazing! I've used them from 120 yards to 700+. I've recovered bullets from saturated dirt at 1240 yards and they were mushroomed perfect and had 85% or more weight retention.

I have a barrelled action. Just need to buy a stock. I've just put it on the back burner for awhile now. Guess i lost interest. This is without the recoil lug installed. The barrel is still wrapped in the shipping packing.

I see you have an "RR" S/N action... Make sure to have the smith check the bolt and extraction timing. The "RR" models are notorious for that issue. I have a 5R .300WM that's an "RR", and I got lucky on mine that it was setup right from the factory.

The .300 Sherman is a beast. I want to punch-out my .30-06 AI chamber to .300 Sherman, but it's a 1:12" barrel, and I'd rather spend the money on chambering a 1:10" barrel for it incase I want to shoot the 215 Hybrids.

I wasnt aware of the RR issues. I just ordered a R700 LA SS. Just my luck. Nothing on this build has gone correctly... Nothing.
I never said it was messed up, just said to make sure to have the smith check the timing. It might be perfectly fine. Don't sweat the small stuff, until you have to.

I understand what you meant. You dont know my luck...
Ohhh, but I do... I bought a $2,000 Weatherby Accumark that had a bad barrel on it from the factory. It didn't start showing issues until a about 50-75 rounds down the barrel. It was strictly a hunting rifle, so it took a few years to get that many down the bore. When I addressed the issue with Weatherby, they basically told me to go pound sand. So, that was a $2,000 piece of crap. I traded it off, but lost half my money. And that's not the only one... Had a few others with issues as well, just not quite as expensive.

I bought my 2013 Mustang GT in 2012, put 7,500 miles on it, and traded it in for something else in 2015, and lost $15,000 on that deal...Massive depreciation.

Sold my boat, lost $10,000 thanks to Obama's economy.

Trust me, I know your luck...Mine ain't much better.
