BEST POWDER FOR 243 WIN and 105 VLD

You obviously haven't used it or you wouldn't be making those comments. Have used it for a long time in 243, 25-06, 7RM and 300 WSM. It is also has as good a lot to lot consistency as other powders. You just need to know how to use it. Has a lot of myths associated with it, but I wouldn't believe everything you read about it on the net either. It's a very good powder.
Use whatever you want, but I can not for the life of me understand why you would purposely choose RL22 over RL23 or RL26 or a host of others...

RL26 is probably a good option, no doubt. But can almost be impossible to find locally for many shooters. RL23 hasn't shown the same popularity as RL26 when it comes to replacing existing powders. RL22 is a proven accurate powder with lots of load recipes for different cartridges and is usually on the shelf. That's a couple reasons to purposely choose it.

RL23 in my .243AI does very well. It meters poorly for me so far so I do all the charging the hard weigh (little pun). I get 3180 from 45.5gns under a 108 ELD-M. Transitioning to 115 DTAC v2's now that I'm out of 108's. My 8lbs jug of RL23 came with massive granule size variation from over 1/4" down to grit. After burning up the first 2lbs it seems to have shed all the hugest grains so it might start metering better now but I'm happy to just weigh each charge.

Hey Desert "JERK" . . . First of all, I am not recommending he use RL-19, my point is to try different powders to help select the one that works best for him. And . . FYI Sierra's load data for the 90gr shows 43.8 gr RL-19 to be their best hunting load.
Look, all powders go boom when you pull the trigger, my point is to try different powders in a controlled circumstance to help choose one that works for you.

Cute....lol. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you.

If you can't find H4350 just move up to the modern superior powder H100V only slightly slower on the burn rate chart.

To bad folks are so hung up on H-4350. It is extremely temp stable but as is so often the case, it's often not the most accurate powder. I too have had very good luck with H-100V in a 300 win mag. It's a great powder and lives up to the hype.

I have H-4350 and it works well in my 6.5x47 but I'm currently testing IMR 4350. It's frequently outperformed H-4350 in other guns. Don't know till you try.

RL-22 is actually a fantastic choice with a burn rate that's **** near perfect for this combination. Don't be surprised if you see that it's quite temp stable in the right application, and the 243 with a 105 is the right application.

Not the best but I've only used IMR 4350. Not temp stable but consistent. My ES is high from the chrono but the holes in the paper are very good at 600 yards. Works for my hunting range.

I replied in 2017 when I had a 6x47 L. I have since converted it , and two other rifles, to the 6 Creedmoor.
desertcj says I, and one other guy here, made a poor choice in picking RL19. He probably is correct, in that it isn't the very best. But, H4350 was sooo hard to come by, and wanting a lower flame temp.too, I went with it. Come to find out, it works! It works like almost EVERY other powder does in the 6 CM size cases. I run the 108s at 3000fps with no sweat. Easiest reloading I have ever done. Shooting 1/2MOA consistently ain't a bad thang! Yes, not so good if you are benchrest competing. But, if your 1/2 MOA is good to 1000, that's fine shooting! Be happy!

I've been working on this load development for a while. Only able to achieve 1/2 moa generally. I'm using right now RE26 and RE23. Seating depth from .003 to .025. others might suggest H4831SC but I've been looking for 3000 FPS and up. Am I on the right track? Too slow a powder? Suggestions please. Semi custom rifle w/ 26" Brux 8" twist
My load for the 105s is 42.2 grains of RL19. Speed is around 2970, no pressure issues at that load out of my rifle. Not all that temp stable but it shoots well all the way out. I haven recently switched to 108 eldms.
