I have a Remington 700 LR in 300wm.
I hate the Bell and Carlson M40 stock.
I can't get comfortable with it in prone position or even standing up. The forearm arm seems way to fat and length of pull is to long for me. I was checking out the Christiansen Arms sporter stock that is on the Ridgeline. I wanted to know if anyone out there has installed one these on there 700Lr heavy barrel and if they like it?

If your trying to save weight look at the AG composite, fit and finish is very good. Greyboe are nice fit and finish also but there on the heavy side but about half the price for the lighter carbons.

Is that ur dope taped to the sun shade?

To the op, being a 700 you can pretty much get any stock you want

Manners and Mcmillan's are great stocks, l have a Mcmillan the wait times are killers if you have to order.

Check out Red Hawk Rifles, they have tons of opotions available on-hand in McMillan and HS.

I have used mcmillan hunter (2 rifles), mcmillan game scout a mcmillan hunter style stock on a Gunwerks rifle and an iota kremlin. Out of all those I like the dimensions and parallel comb of the iota kremlin the best but the build quality and consistency of the mcmillan's is hard to beat.

With all that said I have a manners EH-1 on order as this is what I think will be the best stock for my purposes. The larger drop at comb on the mcmillan's is uncomfortable for me to shoot.

Ok guys. Thanks for the replies. I ended up with the Christensen Arms stock. the action and bottom metal fit into stock nice but the issue is the action bolts aren't long enough now and the magazine box flops around inside. I'm not a gunsmith but I'm guessing that material needs removed and the action will need bedded.i was assuming that I was getting quality from a company like C.A.
