Made a mount to get your Magnetospeed off the barrel!

I've been a user of the Magnetospeed for years. I was skeptical when they were first released, but after a buddy got one we quickly became converts. While I loved the function of the Magneto, the mounting system always seemed like a weak point. After several customers asked for a way to use their Magnetospeed without attaching it to their barrel, here's what was made:







There's multiple axis of adjustment to move the Magnetospeed all around, and uses stout bolts to hold things in place securely. It attaches on a standard picatinny rail via a modified rail mounted level we also machine. I plan to offer other methods of attachment too...such as sling stud, MLOK, and keymod, as well as a way to hang the chronograph further for long barrels, suppressors, etc.

I think you are on to something! It definitely is a weak point and I can attest to the fact that it is spendy when you toast one

I actually have these up for preorder now, they're $125, standard will be $150. We use a combination of waterjetting and milling to get the cost down, there are 9 pieces made from billet. Will be getting a type III hardcoat anodize.

Right now it won't work with long barrels, or long barrels and a can if you're running a stock. You can put the blast shield about 14" past your rail. Currently working on some other mounting setups, and a way to reach out further. Didn't want to simply use a longer rod, as with short setups it would be in the way.

What it costs to make...that depends. Unanodized, made for yourself, less than $125 if you're making 100 at a time. Anodized, boxed up, etc...not a whole lot less than that.

You could add a tbreaded coupler or do a male female threaded ends.

Hey Tyler, I like the mount...Are you going to have an option where it will mount to the front swivel, for those of use who don't have a pic rail mounted on our bolt-actions?

Sorry for the late response, been out of town for business a lot.

We have been testing a coupler for long barrels, it works fine but flex is a concern with a long extension. The bullet should be long gone by the time any movement occurs, but with lots of recoil this results in considerable torque on the whole assembly.

The first batch of 50 have been shipped, and another 50 are at anodization now!

It works good! Especially on rifles where there would be no way to attach it conventionally.

Count me in for a swivel mount for bolt guns.
