Best Single Stage Press?

Two Rock Chuckers. Had them a long time and still going strong.

I purchased a Lee Classic cast single stage press about 5 yrs ago ( been loading for over 35yrs) and just love the way it works.Lots of hand room to load the large calibers(30/378), loads concentric ammo, resizes cases with ease , and drops the spent primers into a tube through the ram instead of into a primer catcher with 50% endind up on the floor.I realize it isn't in the same class as the Co-Ax, but I would put it up against most of the much higher priced units from Redding, RCBS etc,

How about the RCBS Ammomaster, the original, not the 2. I use it to reload and a Lee C frame just to crimp.

A few years back I had the opportunity to purchase a Corbin for $150, (the infamous divorce sale). No kidding. I had no idea what I was holding in my grubby hands. I already had 2 Rock Chuckers...I didn't need another press!

Until about 5 years ago I did all my reloading on a Rockchucker. I saw a forster co-ax on sale and bought it, now the rockchucker seldom gets used. The Co-Ax is better in almost every way.

I doubt any of these cast iron presses will ever wear out short of a bushing or two in a 100 yrs of use.

For me to buy another one it would have to be made for a different more fine thread and larger die. The ram and holders would have to have direct centered alignment to keep the shell centered as well. The fosters is sort of a was to address the issue without actually fixing it and it gets **** close. Maybe a shell holder and ram with a insert that would keep the case to ram centered via the primer pocket.

I recommended a Forster. I have one and a RCBS RS and 2 RCBS Summits for 375 Cheytac sized cases a RCBS Ammomaster 2 50 cal and 2 Pacific/Hornady C-Presses. Last, until I convert to using my Forster for everything is "normal" my go to press is a Lyman Turret. Been using it a long time. Tune it, check it straight.

I mostly use an old Rockchucker. I take a Partner to the range for load testing.

Have been looking around and the MEC Marksman also looks like a great press. Built on a similar platform as the Coax with the floating shell holder. Online videos and reviews are really good and it looks like a solid press. Think I'm going to give it a try since it's $125 cheaper. I will let folks know how it turns out. Than, you for all the awesome advice!

I've tried most of them and hands down the Redding T-7 is the best money I've spent since I began reloading thirty plus years ago.

We use various RCBS, Lyman turret, Redding T7 and Forester co-ax and my personal favorite is my Forester, I just really like using it, the floating holder and die work well and make things just so simple and smooth.

So now I have to research the Forster co-ax. And I just purchased a RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme.

My first Rock Chucker was purchased around 45yrs ago. Still works as well as it did in the early 70s. This 2nd one was purchased solely for the convenience of mounting depriming dies and bullet pulling dies in the 2nd press.

I'll still resize and seat bullets in the 70s vintage Rock Chucker, since all my dies and shell holders are adjusted for that press.

The new RC Supreme will get the light duty uses.

1) Rock Chucker Supreme (everything between 6 Competition and .338LM Improved) 2) Redding Big Boss (for .338 LM and bigger).

Dillon 550B for 300 Blackout, .223, .357 magnum, .45ACP, 9mm.
