bipod options

I need a bipod for sitting while hunting, so 25-27 inches tall. I want something that deploys pretty quickly if necessary, so detachable legs to bring it to length are not really an option.

Looking at the Harris, it seems that the longer legged ones work in a way I don't like, that is spring tension makes the legs go in, whereas on the smaller ones, and on the Caldwell XLA, they work the way I like, which is they deploy under pressure, and then adjustment is by push button against spring pressure...plus there are the notches.

Hopefully, I explained that clearly, I hate hitting the button and the leg collapses and smashes your finger, or trying to adjust the height with a friction screw while the leg want to collapse completely.

I like the way the smaller Harris and the Caldwell work. I'd buy the Caldwell, but not convinced of it's quality, frankly.

So my question is, do I understand the long Harris incorrectly? If not, are there any other options I should consider over the Caldwell?

Thanks!
