Since you can't find any Federal 215M primers (at least I can't) anymore what are you switching to that you can find for a 300 WSM?
Thanks

I don't see many Fed 215's, either "M" or standard, but I've noticed a lot of places having CCI 250 primers in stock and I know quite a few guys that actually prefer them over the 215 or 215M.

I used the fed 215 or 215M primers for years . I bought which ever ones I could get from my local gun shop , never seen a difference in them . I haven't seen either of these for quite a while on the shelf here around home and I'm about out . I recently bought 1000 win large rifle mag primers " WLRM " to try . I figured I better get something here to use . at the time they were even sold out of the CCI large rifle mag primers "CCI250" . I'll get CCI250 primers when I find them , to try also . I have no problems with the CCI200 primers , so I'd say the CCI250 will be just fine .

Per their website, Bruno has the 215 STD. primers in stock @ $34.95/1000. I've substituted the 215 STD for the 215M freely with no detectable difference.

That is not a bad price, I'm shocked that Lester Bruno isn't selling these for $80.

I am not using them in short, fat cases, but I have found the Winchester LRM primers to produce velocities virtually identical to the 215M in two of my rifles. Because the Winchesters are easier to obtain, I have begun to use them more frequently.

I stopped using magnum primers in my WSM and accuracy increased. I have a supply of 210Ms just for the WSM.

That's just me....

If you are having success with magnum primers and can't get 215Ms I would got o CCI or WLRM. I have used WLRM, Wolf Large Rifle Magnum, CCI 250 and something else I can't remember. I can tell the performance difference.
