Ok I was working up a new match load for a Bergara HMR I just got on trade. After barrel break in and limited success with berger 130 on a whim I ordered the 147ELD. Was doing a OCW at 100 and here are the results. From 36 to 40 grains the biggest group was .508!!! I am now thinking this would be a great hunting rig with the consistent POI and tiny grouos. Anyone tried the 147 on whitetail? Granted these are 100 yard 3 shot groups but using the new lapua and CCI BR all the ES were from 25 to low teens. Haven't even really started to test the neck tension yet. Somebody tell me they have had success with these bullets. Here are the last 4 groups from last night and the chrony from the top right.

I have bullistic gel and would not be afraid to use the 147 eld match on whitetail it wouldn't be my first choice but I have no doubt it will put them down quickly.

your es is probably a little less than that. Your obviously using the caldwell chrono. So theres going to be some perceived error from that machine anyways.

Agreed on the es. Buddy has a labdar. Hard for me to get one when he lives 20 minutes away. I get a good idea of speed with this and then go grab his labdar. Bout to load that 39.7 and head to distance this AM.

Pretty pleased walking it out. Speed trued at 2583 and a 4.025 3 shot at 1k. It's really windy here today so I believe it will do better. When I first got here today I sent 5 shots at 600 yards on the steel and ended up with a 1.446 ctc 5 shot just right of the bull.

I recently killed a cow elk with a 147 ELD m. 6.5 Creedmoor 2850 fps. 398 yards. She never took a step and was DRT. They should work fine for deer.
