Thoughts on Leopoldo VX-2 6-18 CDS?

I also like the scope for the amount of money spent. I know that it won't be really crisp on 18X but backed down to 14 or 16X and it is clear enough.

The scope may nor may not be repeatable over time and one day may fail to give me the comeup I want. Should it fail it is no big deal to miss a varmint but risky for use with big game.

I know its frailties so I put it on a 6mm-284 sporter. Mine has a M1 turret instead of the CDS turret. Besides I rarely twist for the bullet I use. 55 gr ballistic tip at 4100 fps. Trajectory is quite flat .7" at 100 and 5.1" low at 350 yds.

I have two of the luepold Mark AR 6-18's and like them a great deal I think it may very well be the same basic scope as the VX 2 6-18 CDS. I shoot at 1000yds with mine regularly not as clear and crisp as my buddy's Nightforce or VX 6 but he doesn't really seam to be able to see hits at that distance on steel much better then me so I have little incentive to upgrade, zero stop would be very handy however.

This is one of my favorite scopes. I prefer the M1 turret over the CDS but I have used them on everything from 6mmBR to .300 win mag and never had an issue with tracking repeatability or losing zero.
