SIG Kilo 2400 with Applied Ballistics!!

Given that methodology for adjusting "zero height", would the adjustment for "zero offset" require a "-" precede the value to a calibrate the POI to the left?

Can't believe I didn't ask about that, but it would be a good question for Doc. It didn't seem like using the negative number for zero height in my case was something they had known about and wouldn't be surprised if the manual changes or if there's an update for the algorithms.
Really would like to know about the zero offset because in theory one could have multiple loads and not have to go to the range... pretty convenient as I have multiple loads depending on what the target is...

I went through the manuals a couple of times and posted RF the question earlier in this thread. Neither approach produced an answer.

I also am having "pairing " issues using Android phone (Droid turbo 2) Bluetooth is enabled and phone shows it recognizes the 2400 but in app they are not linked. In the app there are no devices shown at the screen " select a device" while rangefinder is on and right next to phone. The third picture is showing that Bluetooth is enabled on the rangefinder. Any help is appreciated.
It has been a while since I've been on here. But to be fair to sig, I contacted them they asked me to send it back for inspection. They contacted me back and said it was faulty and we're sending me a new one. I'd have to say they were completely helpful and fast at resolving the issue.

I'm not able to get my rangefinder to calculated elevation or wind holds, I've made sure it set up for Line of sight instead of AMR,

Iphone 6plus,

Hard reset on the phone, software updated
Deleted Sig App and reinstalled
Selected and deselected profiles on rangefinder
I've tried ranging from the hud display on the app and it will give me the distance and profile 300wm, 6.5 creed etc, but the drop and wind just shows 00?

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but can't figure it out, I'm hopping someone has had this problem before and it doesn't need to get sent back.

Thanks

Hi guys-
I recently purchased a 2400 and have been really impressed with the solutions. However I noticed something was going on during a long range competition I was competing in. I couldn't ever get the ranges to read similar to what everyone else was getting when using other range finders. In fact, we had a COF with the ranges listed, and everyone but me could confirm the ranges on the COF to be correct (my 2400 was never close to being accurate). So, I got talking with some of the guys, and one of them mentioned that he had a 2400 at one time, and it was well known that you need to figure out where to hold the reticle on the target in the 2400 to get a correct range......Like the beam is not calibrated to the center of the reticle. I started ranging to known distance targets and comparing to a Leica and a Swarovski RF. I found that I would have to hold the reticle so that the target was in the 5 O'clock position in the circle. It would then be consistent with the other RF's. But this made it even more difficult to hold on to smaller targets.

sounds like Kilo tried to have the rangefinder do to much and may take a while to get the bugs worked out. can believe all the devices that people have that can be used with the Kilo

I am trying to calibrate my profile using the Kilo2400 and app but it doesn't seem te work.

I enter the range and when I enter the drop and press calculate, it give me
"you have not entered a drop for Range 1".and it resets the drop I've entered back to"----"

What am I doing wrong?

If you email me screen shots of your profiles I can review them for errors. [email protected]

Well, I will say that if I can get this little hiccup resolved, the 2400 is one awesome piece of equipment!

It is not uncommon with different range finders for the beam to be slightly off in the aimpoint. However with the Kilo 2400 being more precise, and having a better laser it is more noticeable.

Did you input anything in to range 1?

This has not been my experience. The KILO 2000 Rangefinder was known to have this issue. Then Sig brought out the KILO 2200 and KILO 2400 and one of the key points they promoted was that they decreased the beam size slightly and lined it up to match more perfectly with the reticle. I have personally used and tested several KILO 2200's and KILO 2400's and the moment the edge of any part of the circle touches the target when scanning, the target range is given proving to me that the beam is lined up perfectly with the reticle. There are other videos online where others have shown the same test with the same perfect results.

Hey Guys,

I wanted to update everybody on the issues I had with my Kilo 2400.

I ended up talking with numerous people we tried everything. I ended up sending it back to sig, and they said that the key allowing the rangefinder and the Applied Ballistics software to work was missing or just didn't take.

It one of the first issues they have seen with regards to that problem. I am happy with the unit now that I have it back and shot out to 800 with excellent results.

Daniel Brozovich really tried to get the unit working without having to send the unit in. His knowledge was incredible,

Jake Love at Sig optics was really easy to work with and he got it back to me as quickly as possible.

Quick tip for calling sig, call the 1800# then use the directory and they have you enter the first 4 letters of the persons last name. It will connect you way faster than the **** menu.

I hope this helps.

Doc.. I've restarted my Iphone and installed the app again(losing all my profiles) just to
try to get the calibration working but now after I enter the distance in range 1 and enter the drop..when I press calculate the app crashes...??

Why is this happening...Do I need to delete the app again and download it again??
