Sako extractors flying apart??

I was wondering if anybody here has ever had or know anybody that has ever had a Sako extractor come apart or come loose from a Rem 700 Bolt. I have heard that it can happen but is it one of those things that is caused from the presures being crazy high like sticky bolt lift and primers falling out or like when a guy snaches a bolt handle off of a Rem 700 bolt. I'm sure it happens but I personaly think it would be from a ****y install than the actual working the bolt.
So if a Sako extractor is instaled properly and the pressures are kept sane what are the chances that one will come out or apart

Just seen the extractor of a stolle panda in 6br broken in two pieces, but cannot tell you the cause...´cause it was not mine. I guess there could´ve been a problem with the extractor material.It was replaced and have been no problems afterwards.

If there is catastrophic case head or primer failure, a Sako style extractor can be blown out of a Rem 700. This is actually very rare unless something very serious happens.

A pierced primer pocket will generally not cause this is the sako extractor is fitted correctly.

I sent my gun off to have a Sako ext. put in my rem. 700. Gunsmith had an add in V.H.M. Its been about 8 yrs ago so I can't remember his name. I shot rifle once extractor flew out and lost. Sent bolt back, he replaced extractor. Shot once lost again!!!!!! Sent to gunsmith in CO. he said it was machined wrong he fixed ,and it never came out again. This was before I had ever heard of Kirby Allen I think I'm going to try him on a custom gun one day!! MO

Happened to me but the extractor did not "fly apart", simply moved it out of position. My buddy fixed it in a few minutes but I was very concerned since it happened to one of my all-time most favoritest rifles. No damage, my baby came through that abuse OK. Tapped out the case with a cleaning rod, buddy put the extractor and spring back in position, checked the action over and told me to better not do that again... Hate seeing white smoke coming out of a receiver...
Don't ask if you can blow a claw extractor off a M-70 controled round feed bolt - happened the day before I was leaving for a mountain hunt in B.C. Another reminder not to take things for granted...

The extractor on my buddies .223 Tikka T3 Varmint(Sako style?) just fell out. We emptied the parts out of the mag box.
We have no idea what happened, all we could see was that the plunger hole was out of round a bit.

We took the bolt into the loading room at the back of the range and i tried to re-install it with a small screwdriver. The driver slipped and the plunger spring sent the plunger to that planet where all spring powered small parts dissappear to. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

LMAO, I've sent countless small parts and an occasional spring as well to the same planet.
