Most bolt rifles I used for hunting are set around 35ozs, large bore bolt and double rifle are 4lbs.

I killed a pretty average 5x6 this year, I did all the butchering myself, I got around 230lbs of processed meat. That would be a little bit of bone still in the shanks, but that won't be much.

With the 210 VLDs, I shot a cow elk at about 60 yards. The the internal damage was unreal, I couldn't tell any difference between it and others shot at much further distances. I use 230s now for everything from muleys to eland.
