got my brain fart figured out i rest my knob on scope 1 click and apparently it didn’t leve go when i lossend allen screw and i was shoot 11 “ high at 100 yrds . 5 moa and 2 click is right on at 460 yards.
I have a brain fart . Dial in number for 7mm stw 162 a max , 3187 fps 981 altute 44 degrees 9 twist barrel . Think got something puched in wrong on ballistic program. Shoot 460 yrds zero at 100 yrds 1.25 scope high
I not worrying about losing some meat I really like the a-max it does what it suppose to do . that why I'm not really sure about these new eld-x bullets . guess I don't like change that much
I do know the a max works 4 deer so far nothing made it over 80 yards 460 yds 550yds 580yds and one at 850 yds . I did lose good bit of meat o that out of 7mm stw .
I newer to this stuff . I was just fireforming some new win 7mm stw brass and put the eld-x in them in stead of using a-max . I was using the same exact load I use in a-max and ran them past my new chronograph and the were with in 20 fps as the a max . they do measure about the same off the the...
dum? the eld-x have a better BC then a max . I was out shooting today 935 yrd dialed in at 18.1 MOA with eld-x and about 16.5 with the a-max . was shooting with new lab tech chronograph both a-max and eld-x were with in 20 fps of each other . the a-max shot fps faster I did 10 shots with a-max...
used them today camera makes it a lot nicer to shoot and lab radar only didn't read first couple shots because of dust blowing back on it from muzzle break after that read every shot
just got my self targetvisioncam and lab radar . now I should be able to practice more shooting at long range instead of driving back and forth to see were I hit . and hopefully the lab radar not as error prone as my ced m2 chronograph . I will at least compare the 2 to see what the number...
looking complete list of rifle cartridges that's printable or something I can buy that I can hang on wall to mark of what I have or what to buy or get made .
from ogive of bullet . measure with hornady comparator. I never measure from the tips of bullets . got this load down to 19 fps spread 6 sd with a 5 shot group and .400 ctc group size at 100 yards at 3224 fps . I'm sure group would be tighter if not for me .
