I have a question about the harvester evo. How many rounds can it digest before needing being sent in for cleaning? Its says it is a sealed can but also says it comes with 5/8" and 1/2" thread capability. How does that work? It also states 20" barrel length for 300 WM. What would happen with a...
Here is what I did and it cost me nothing but 15 minutes. I took .015"-.020" off base of die where shellholder meets die. Cut die to approximately 1 3/4"long and then used a dremel to deburr and slightly enlarge the top 3/8" of die body. This allows the die to resize right to the belt and now...
I have a Remington 300 RUM that a Hornady die 90% of the time and a RCBS die 40% of the time wouldn't sufficiently resize the brass so it chambered effortlessly. I ended up with a LEE 300 RUM die and my clambering problems disappeared.. YMMV...
Do I need a 260 Rem specific die or could I use a 308 Win die to do this. Would the 308 die not work because of the gap at the junction of the shoulder and neck? Seems like it may cause a step in the shoulder. I currently just have a 260 collet die that neck sizes. I have full length 308 dies.
I have looked everywhere but haven't found what metal the Hornady inserts are made of. Aluminum or steel? If aluminum, how is the lifespan before the aluminum starts to loose its edge and accuracy falls off or is it hardened to prevent this.
I looked @ Remington but saw no info on the base metal of rifle. Just the fact it was ceracoted. Do they use stainless actions and barrels or just paint the ones that would have been blued?
I have been reloading brass not originally shot from my rifles for many different cartridges for decades and haven't encountered any problems as long as I full length resized before using. My question is have I been wrong??? I had a deal to sell some 1X fired brass to a guy and at the last...
Does anyone know who has an offset front base for twist in type rings for a Win 70? The base I have centers the ring between the mounting screws and I need to move the front ring back at least an inch.
