    Long Action vs Short Action.

Not exactly. 308 = short action ~3.0 inch COAL 30-06/300 winmag = standard (or long if you don't want to get into semantics) action ~3.4 inch COAL 300rum/375 h&h = long action (or magnum length action) 3.6+ inch COAL You could even add mini actions on there for a 223 length action. What...

    45 ACP on Brown Bear.????

Reload speed isn't going to come into play on a bear. That ultralight with full house loads isnt going to let you get through more than half the cylinder accurately before its on you.

    45 ACP on Brown Bear.????

I live in Alaska and hike and but a lot. I, and the majority of other outdoors people up here carry a 10mm. Typically a glock. You need penetrstion, and a slow movi g large diameter bullet doesn't give you that.

Savage 110 7 mm rem mag barrel

I've got an older factory savage sporter barrel and a 24" Wilson light sporter that was done by ragged hole barrels and needs a crown still. I think it's a 10 twist but I'd have to look. I think the factory barrels are 9.5 twist

    SOLD/EXPIRED Nightforce NX8 4-32X50 F1 MOAR

Haha... I built a rifle because I found a deal on ammo I couldn't pass up and didn't own a rifle that shot it 😅

Anyone need some 6.5PRC Lapua brass?

@orkan Thanks for being so generous. If you still have any left when you get through everyone ahead of me I could use use some. I built a 6.5prc and a 28 nosler both almost 2 years ago and, thanks to being in alaska, haven't been able to shoot either of them yet. No one will ship loaded ammo...

Should we start to boycot these high prices?

Unearned income effects stuff weirdly and I dont know enough about tax code to understand it completely. All I know is thats what the numbers did, and it happens every year. This is the biggest swing we've seen though.

Should we start to boycot these high prices?

$4400 last year (for 2 people) but guess what... It counts as unearned income on the fed taxes.. We went from a $1900 tax return to owing $990 thaks to that... So we gained a net $1500? Yay, that's utilities and groceries for a month.

Should we start to boycot these high prices?

LOL, I think you're a little out of touch there. Almost no one under the age of 65-70 has their house paid off anymore (I'm 40 this year) and sure, I could move to another state, but guess what... Cost of living is less, but so are sallieries and job opportunities. Want me to sell the house...

Should we start to boycot these high prices?

I wouldn't say we're struggling, just not able to be comfortable. I'm talking about the major. Corporations that are reporting record profits during this. Not necessarily the gun/component companies specifically. But if you want to get more.l specific, the local sportsmans warehouse has almost...

Should we start to boycot these high prices?

@bigngreen I dont think places like yours are the problem. If every business was run like with some humanity and concern for others like you're showing in that post we would be in a different place today. Thanks for being a decent business owner and not trying to profit off of this situation...

Should we start to boycot these high prices?

How about the fact that my wife and I both make 50k a year, own a home in a rural area that started out as a barn in 1978 that I repair myself, drive older cars that are paid off and I repair myself, and still have to be super careful about how much we spend on non necessities? We make just...

Should we start to boycot these high prices?

This. High ammo and component prices are high for the same reason our Healthcare is so d@mn expensive. So many major corporations are reporting record profits yet many Americans are toeing the poverty line. Why? Greed. Aka pure unadulterated and unregulated capitalism. Capitalism works great...
