Pulling bullets / Reseating / Neck Tension

How can brass not work harden after each firing? The neck expands to the chamber and then retracts to what you see....Unless your chamber is set up for a zero sizing, but we aren't talking about that here. So your brass does not flow....Ever? I have a K&M inline seater with the "force...

    Best Bino's your opinion

Without question the best optics would go to the Swarovski Els. Mine are 10X42...Very very good. I also have a pair of 10X42 Trinovids..They aren't quite as good optically, but I think if I had to fall on or drop a pair of binos the Leicas would come out on top of the Els every time. Good...

    10 shots at 1260 Yards

Nice to see you dedicated to your shooting Clayne! Looks like your load was coming apart out there, but that is some serious range for a 308 without loads dialed to go the distance :) I have a few big 338s and 90% of the time they stay in the cabinet or truck. I think you would love the 300Win...

I have a Reloading problem I need help to solve.

This is what I suspect. I doubt tall has his headpsace dialed and is beating the crap out of the brass every time he pulls the trigger. Tall, I would like to see a few pictures of the cases. The head, lower base section, neck/shoulder area. What load are you running? Annealing will...

Pulling bullets / Reseating / Neck Tension

I don't think case neck spring back has much to do with case hardness. The reason I think this is back in the day some benchresters used to turn their brass (tight neck chamber) so they didn't have to re-size the neck until they needed to move the shoulder back. I know for a fact the case...

    Always getting flyers

I think Jeff is probably right. You might also be loading in what is referred to as a scatter node. Check this out OCW Overview - Dan Newberry's OCW Load Development System

Full length resize or neck size only for y'all long range hunters?

I hear you about the investor thing, but it allowed him to engage another market that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. I think he has been thankful for the experienced business advice as well. I got my investment back plus a nice return long ago and he is now supporting a very nice...

    Fire Forming

I use the cream of wheat method to fire form my 470 Mbogo...It works and I hate the mess it creates. My buddy has a place in the country so we decided to shoot off the FF loads (20 grains WW231/full case of COW/topped with toilet paper wadding) in his garage. The sound was deafening, the snow...

Full length resize or neck size only for y'all long range hunters?

I lost a moose about 10 years ago when I forgot to reset the jewel trigger on my 300Win. I went to get on the trigger with frozen fingers and couldn't tell I was already touching it when I dropped the saftey...Shot over its back by a full moose! :) I think the trigger was set at 8 ounces at...

How long do you use your tumbling media?

Yup! I still use 0000 steel wool if I am in a hurry to reload some cases...Works very well. You really do owe it to yourself to try the SS media! In case you haven't noticed I am very particular about my reloading process ( :) ). I am very slow to change and both analytical and methodical...

Full length resize or neck size only for y'all long range hunters?

I don't understand. So you are suggesting he can't read 0.002-0.005 TIR with a standard dial indicator and runout v-block roller setup? The design of a well made roller block is such that it will take up any slack (by the rollers spreading under pressure taking up any slack in the system)...

How long do you use your tumbling media?

It really is the only way to go. I was skeptical when I first got it...It works so well I have never even looked at my old tumbler again. No Fuss no Muss and no Dust! and clean primer pockets:)

FFP for prarie dog and rock chucks

Right on the money. My PMII was terrible for gophers! Head shots were out of the question. For small targets at long distance FFP is not the way to go in my experience.
