I have a preference for the Weatherby magnums. I have a 240(6mm), a 270, and a 300 all on blaser frames and with the exception of the 240 all are very versatile and quite an upgrade from the 270 and 3006. Now the 240 is a great gun also but only comes in a 1/10 twist and I'm not able to shoot...
I shot the 270 Weatherby in a Blaser frame most accurate rifle I've ever owned I was shooting the Barnes 145 gn lrx but I felt my son should have that gun so he can shoot long-range hunts while he is still young to do them, right. Deep down inside I always wanted the 300 Weatherby so best move...
I am going to be working up a load fo the 212 gn LRX barnes bullet in a 300 Weatherby I would like to use the imr endurance 7199 or th 4155 anybody wanna share load data with me ??
I would go right to the LRX, bullet. Been shooting and reloading Barnes for years start with the imr enduron powders and work between a .025 and. 035 jump and load close to the max load you will be shooting close groups.
The dead nutz scope mounts are a one piese mount that can withstand the recoil , they are great on my muzzleloader, so i am a fan of leica zeiss and sig sauer scopes they are built to higher standards than what your using
I use the bar es lrx in 175 and 200 shot a mule deer at 600 with the 175, im just developing the 200 load but early results look as good and accurate as the 175gn . I am partial to barnes for hunting.
