    Acceptable Accuracy For Hog Hunting

I, personally, am not recoil sensitive but, even so, when I'm zeroed in on any target whether it is paper or live I don't notice it.

    Gratuity/Tips for guided hunting

My son and I did a hunt in South Africa in early October. The customary amount there was $100 per person per day for the PH and what you felt comfortable with for the tracker and cook staff.

    Recent hunt in South Africa

A few weeks ago my son and I went on a plains game hunt in Limpopo Province in South Africa with Warthog Safaris. The people there as well as the facilities were top-notch. As with anything new, we weren't sure what to expect but what we received was way above anything we could have imagined...

    Master Bedroom Woodchucks!

A few years back one decided to try to set up camp in the backyard. I slowly and quietly slid open the sliding screen door to the sun room took careful aim from 50 feet and cracked one off with a .357 Sig. To say it was instantaneous death is an understatement. He looked like he exploded.

    Canned Deer

I agree and would never do it for deer hunting but the almighty dollar has bit many landowners. So many landowners are screaming that they're being overrun by feral hogs but want to charge ridiculous fees for people to come on to their property to help rid them of their problem. I realize there...

If a man speaks in the wilderness where no woman can hear --- is he still wrong?

As they say, " When you get a good woman, there's nothing like it. When you get a bad woman, there's nothing like it". When I was married to Cruella DeVille, I was king. I can't tell you how many times she came to me on her hands and knees. Her comment was always the same, "Get out from under...

    Africa 2023

No, for both. It's $3250 for 1 hunter and $950 for the 2nd hunter. It's through Warthog Safaris.

    Africa 2023

My son and I are going to Limpopo for 5 days in late September on a plains game hunt. We have our choice of 3 animals out of five for a total of $4200. That does not include any tips or taxidermy fees. All meals, lodging, a PH, transportation to and from airport, etc are all included. We also...

    Africa 2023

Check out some outfitters or attend outdoor shows. You'll find an African trip isn't as expensive as you might think. Often, cheaper than a guided hunt in the U.S. Airfare is the issue that increases the overall cost but what you spend will be worthwhile.

    300 PRC question

I don't? OK? As a matter of fact I do have experience with the 300 PRC. I prefer the 212 grain over the 225. Better proven results, that's why. There are many calibers, weights, and configurations that can get the job done on nearly any animal in North America just some are preferred. And, by...

    300 PRC question

Yes, and that is actually noted above the video. A 140 is a heck of a lot different than a 225. I, personally, wouldn't use a match bullet on an elk and I wasn't the least bit impressed with those results.

    African plains game

You're hunt sounds similar to mine: Same area of SA, 10,000 acre ranch, except we'll be going in late September only on a 5 day, 3 animal safari. We will add an extra animal or so, ala carte, if you will. Due to time constraints back home we couldn't go for a longer period of time but maybe...
