Wyoming unit 43 assistance Thx !

Looking as a family to hunt antelope in unit 43 this September. Not looking for “honey holes” but looking for some advice or some landowners who would allow us to hunt (and respect) within his or her property. We would be willing to pay (within reason) for access. Much appreciated for and help !!

    Muzzle brake recommendations for a 28 Nosler & .308

Can’t say enough great things about my APA little bastard brake. It on my 338 Lapua, and tames hot loads shooting 300grainers down to less than a 30.06. Give them a gander, work great, and look amazing also !!

    28 Nosler Rifle Recommendation

Stiller action, custom barrel (Bartlien IMHO), quality stock to your specs, Timney trigger, choose your brake, PTG bottom metal and Accuracy international magazines. Save literally 2000$ piecing it together then have a quality smith assemble it Make it the way YOU want it; and look the way YOU...

26-27 should get you most of what your looking for I shoot a 24” that yields 3040fps with 168gr Berger VLD’s and Retumbo...... could easily go hotter but the accuracy node dictated my stopping point

New Berger bullets from SHOT Show

My custom has a 1-9.4 Bartlein.... it’s gojng to be cutting it close as the 300gr bullets require a 1-10 If not then I’m confident the 300’s will still stay supersonic further than I can hunt animals at; and shelves will be plenty stocked with them as the rush for the new bullets take off

Pros and cons for 300 Win Mag and 338 Lapua Mag

Both are great it’s just personal preference,,, the Lapua will stay supersonic forther down range (especially with the 285-300gr bullets) however costs rise and weight of a rifle could be an issue. I own a Lapua and love it but it’s not for everyone. Have you considered a .28 Nosler ????

    Berger 300gr question

Thanks for all the replies!! Per Berger Manual it’s near the max However according to Hodges it’s about 4.5 gr below max. Using the hybrid OTM’s also

Is the Savage 112 in 338 Lapua a good hunting rifle?

I have a custom 338 Lapua I hunt with quite often. It’s heavy (16lbs) but that’s why I train hard and love having the ability to kill at long range. We took a Coues buck this year with it at 940yds. We backpacked deep in, and absolutely I hauled it over hill and dale. Use what you feel most...
