    NIKON 2.5-10x44 TACTICAL SCOPE

Although I don't have a Nikon Tactical, I just purchased a Nikon Gold. It has a duplex type reticle,2.5-10x50, 30mm tube with 80 inches of adjustment, locking side-focus,and finger adjustable turrets which are easily resettable to zero.I debated for quite some time also. Looked at many LPS...

    Nikon scopes

Does anyone have any experience with the Nikon tacticals? I just got a Nikon Gold 2.5-10x50 with 30mm tube and side focus. The turrets have covers but the numbers and hash marks are legible from the shooting position with the covers off. The dial is easily resettable to zero. Are the tacticals...

    New Leupolds

Yes it appears that John M. is correct. Those 2 scopes come with the round mil-dot reticle. The 4.5-14 is also available with the Duplex reticle. They all are 30mm tubes with side focus.

    Which scope?

I have a 7mm STW carrygun.Been trying to decide on a scope. I have looked at the Burris Blackdiamond 3-12 and the Leupold 4.5-14 LR. Does anyone have any experience with the Burris target knobs? Are they repeatable? The Burris has a better field of view, however it is heavy, but seems to have...

    Weight limit on hunting guns

I primarily hunt Oregon/ Washington for deer& elk. It is my understanding that Washington is considering a 15# weight limit for hunting guns.I believe that Idaho already has a 16# limit. What next?

Anyone Ever Seen a 7mm STW in..

Nodak 7mm, I have a 7STW in Sendero LS. So does my buddy. They were not listed in the Remington catalog since they were a special run gun. Remington will not disclose the number made. They are OK rifles. Good luck and good shooting. Vinnie

    What about Burris "Black Diamond"?

Very clear optics. They're among the best. The scope is very bulky and heavy though. Looks like a German handgrenade... probably weighs as much as one too....

Loads for 7mm RUM & 168 gr MKS

Jeff, I know you are interested in RL-25 but you might check out the December 2000 issue of "Shooting Times" . Layne Simpson did an article on the 7 RUM. There is some data on H1000, IMR 7828, and RL22. He had not yet tested any H870, 50BMG, AA8700, or RL 25.

    Leupold 4.5-14 LR

Nighthawk, Thanks for the reply.I am specifically interested in the LR 4.5-14. Is that what you have? I have a 4.5-14x50 on my 338-378 Wby. The LR has target turrets, 30 mm tube, side focus, and approx. 72 moa adjustment.I really like my "stock" Leupold, but I am going to have Leupold install...

    Leupold 4.5-14 LR

Boyd, Thanks for the reply.I'm not quite in the same league as some of you guys. I'm trying to set up a decent 700 yd. deer gun. I will be trying Matchkings to see if they will stabilize in my rifle. More on that later .
