Shot three deer with my 6.5 Grendel using Hornady 123gr SSTs. One Mulie buck 253yds quartering away. Bullet exited shoulder. WT Doe through both shoulders 100yds.WT Doe broad side lung shot 150yds. SST worked as advertised.
I shoot factory Hornady 130 gr superformace out of my 270 win. They leave the barrel at an average of 3190 fps. They have always gone through both shoulders from 60 to 350 yards and thats on Mule deer. They have performed excellent and will continue to use them till Hornady makes something better.
I hunt White Tail and Mulies with a .308 win and 270 win. High shoulder for me. Double lung shots are deadly but they run for a bit. I am done with pulling deer out of deep creeks. In my experience they don't go very far after a high shoulder shot. Sometimes they just drop.
I've had excellent results as well on coyotes. Several doe have been put in my freezer using the 75gr BTHPs and an old buck all under 80yds. They have all exited with great blood trails. That's why I thought the MKs would work. Definitely built different.

Have you guys had good luck free floating and bedding the wood stocks? My 270win shoots 2 inch groups at 200 yds with me or my buddy pulling the trigger.
