    Going Electric

I went with the M2S 750 watt all terrain bike. Man that thing is whisper quiet. I mean you can only hear the rocks under the tires. Has about a 20 mile range at full throttle. It has no trouble with terrain. I actually road it right up to my stand one time. There were 2 does feeding never looked...

Do we overvalue sentimental value of our guns?

I know most of mine are priceless to me but when I pass I'll be dead so what happens here will be of no concern. I think we worry to much about that stuff taking time better used while we are living. I know my son will latch on to some that he knows are my favorites but honestly if he gets in a...

    358 Wildcats

I actually have a 375-358 Ultra. Did it about 4 years ago. I shoot 225 Barnes TTSX at 3400. Very accurate. It kills on both ends until a decent brake is installed. It is a devastating cartridge. Had the reamers made by PTG. RCBS dies.

    Confused and dazed? T/C Compass

I have the same issue. And as for your question yes it is a trend in lower end (price) rifles Savage AXIS for instance. I have a 30-06 compass which is very accurate. I will let everyone know one issue with mine. This rifle rust faster than any gun I have ever owned.(over 200) rifles. I'm going...

    338-378 WBY Mag

it will definitely cause throat erosion faster. I have to question the bullet sellection for long range if not hunting. The TTSX it'self is a good hunting bullet but I run that grain bullet in my 30-378. That weight bullet in a 338 is gonna have a low BC and there are better bullets for long...

Oppose H.R.8 - Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019

AH but the Supreme Court has ruled that our government officials are not here to protect us. The ruling did however go on to say that they were here to SERVE us. I guess when you get elected all that law stuff goes out the window except when they want to distort and destroy rights.

How many rifles does your wife think you own?

Only the ones she can see. She has no idea that there are over 100 in another guys closet that are about to come home.

    357 Maximum Rifle, 225gr SBT

Give Mike Bellm a call at Bellm TCs. He is a T/C expert but more than that he is all about the 357 Max. He even started making and selling his own barrels in that chambering. He gave me some excellent info on mine.

338-378 WBY Mag vs 338 Edge

Not at all. I don't think at all you're trying a cheap fix. Just suggesting that you make sure that screw hole misalignment is the problem and if it is to determine the best way to address it. I had the same problem with standard bases on a 30-378 it destroyed the little flanges that make the...

338-378 WBY Mag vs 338 Edge

Give Richard Near a call at Near Manufacturing. He is everything Weatherby when it comes to scope bases and mounts. Not suggesting buy a set from him but I have found him to be a wealth of information. He may be able to help you determine what the issue is and which is the best way to address...

338-378 WBY Mag vs 338 Edge

The old saying " There is no replacement for displacement" would apply here. As with many choices it comes down to what you intend to use for your purpose. Just like many cartridges of the same caliber will walk right together with certain bullet weights at some point the case with the most...

HELP PLEASE: Savage Rifle "Build" Questions

I know I'm gonna get screamed at but if you don't plan to use the smooth nut you can just wrap it in masking tape and use a pipe wrench. I bought the Savage wrench set from either Midway or Brownell's. It came with the wrench for the smooth nut. If you go that route you will have to shim the...

HELP PLEASE: Savage Rifle "Build" Questions

Have you assembled or have access to the tools you will need? You will need a barrel nut wrench, some way to vice the barrel. Not saying you need a barrel vice but the old and the new barrel are going to have to be vised, you may or may not need an action wrench depending on how much locktite...

Does "anyone" ever take Sectional Density into consideration!!

I think now it is all making sense to me. Though each thought process prioritizes each factor differently each attribute must be considered to come up with the solution for the person making the decision based on wants, needs or purpose. That being said when the thread was started about...

    Reamer or swager?

I just looked at the RCBS that you were probably talking about at Sportsmans Warehouse about an hour ago. My experience was with the one in/on the press. The stand alone one should be fine.
