What is a Really Good Hunting Knife

I've never enjoyed the whole "processing the deer." I've actually been up in the deer stand and looking through the scope at a deer, trying to decide whether to take this shot... and had the thought, "Do I really want to be cleaning a deer tonight?" I'm sure most of you are better at it and more...

Best way to ship live ammo???

That's just weird.. if they are going to require a certain sticker... why wouldn't they have them right there at the counter??!

50 Cals for Hunting Dangerous Game? Real World Experience? Bullets/Loads?

I personally prefer the .480 in the Alaskan to the .454. They are great guns and .480 is really easy and flexible to reload. Gregg

    Powder? Why is there none?

I can only say... I wish I had some kind of "LGS" that was like that. I can't think of one within 50 miles of me that would act like that.

    WTS: 9mm and 223

Amen brother! It's not like I actually want to sell any of my hard earned "stash." But people hear you have XXX primers and ask if they can buy some? You don't really want to sell any... when can I replace them? But it's hard to turn down a 3-4x profit... "OK, I'll sell you a thousand for...

    WTS: 9mm and 223

    >You should sell it to them for what you paid. I just don't understand this line of thought... is it just that "we are all gun people and we should refuse to profit from having some foresight?" I mean, I paid $15 a share for some Apple stock back in the late 1990's. It has split and split and...

    Powder? Why is there none?

As I posted in another thread, it isn't totally that cut and dried. I personally haven't bought a single .22/powder/primer in over a year. Since well before the Covid pandemic hit. I got "caught short" in the Obama shortage so once that was over, I bought stuff when I saw it for a good price. So...

    powder at 3rd gen.

I just went to gunbroker and looked around at small rifle primers. There are people getting bids over $300 for one thousand primers????!!! And they are saying "shipping UPS Ground." Are they just ignoring the Hazmat requirements and shipping improperly or what?? Apparently I can sell some...

    powder at 3rd gen.

IMO, my "dilemma" illustrates why this stupid stuff happens in the first place. I understand Hazmat laws exist to make things safe, I don't think it is a conspiracy or something (!) but the result is that normal supply and demand doesn't work right. If I buy a thousand primers for $35 2-3 years...

    powder at 3rd gen.

I saw your message and my eyes wandered over to your location... that's funny... the wife and I were literally driving through your town last week. We spent two nights in a nice cabin on Beaver Lake. I could have stopped and sold you some primers! After the whole Obama shortage, I swore I...

15AMP vs 20AMP circuit for reloading room?

I just automatically use 20 amp breakers and 12/2 for everything 120v. That’s what my instructor recommended years ago and it works for me. I don’t think I’ve ever even bought any 14/2.
