Sig hasn't won this contract, yet. They are one of several companies that were down selected and received contracts to provide guns and ammo for further testing. I think they will win but definitely haven't yet. The title is this thread is misleading.

Look at a Slik tripod. They're solid, really lightweight, and not expensive.

I do have the TMR reticle. Wish it had some heavier lines but it can be used to bracket.

I run a couple of them now and think it might be the ultimate hunting scope. It's extremely short, very lightweight when compared to other scopes in its class (34mm), has real zero stops and locking turrets so that no chance of zero getting unknowingly moved, great zoom range, ffp reticle...

The Applied Ballistics App doesn't have the .284 175g ELD-X to compare to the Sig numbers but the Sig numbers (G1 and G7) are different than what Hornady's Doppler Radar published numbers are. The Sigs numbers show higher BCs than Hornady publishes.

I use a Labradar but I'm not talking about drop. I'm talking about the discrepancies in published BC's.

When you add a new profile and choose to use the bullet library you are told to "Select a Drag Model." You have 3 to choose from: (1) G1, (2) G7, and (3) AB Custom Curve. I haven't used the custom curve but the G7 numbers don't match published data from Hornady's Doppler rader. Also, it appears...

I also noticed the discrepancy in case capacity on Noslers website. There's also a big discrepancy between their advertised velocities and their reloading data. Reloading data is way slower. Also, everywhere else I have looked list the 6.5 Grendel as having 36g of water capacity. A 6.5 Grendel...
