2.495" is with a Hornady Compatitor and 168 gr VLD. That would be to the bullet orgive. Is what I meant to say.

Been shooting 168 gr Berger's out of a 7mm Mag for the the last three years and three dead elk. All three were dead right there. 150 yards, 250 yards. and the last was 410 yards. All bullets were recovered on the off side shoulder and shed most of there weight internal. I love Berger Bullets.
