I'll second sniper2's accessment, I have KDF's on my Tomahawk's and would not be without them. You will never notice the noise on rounds fired hunting.

I would turn necks before fireforming.
I make my 338 tomahawk cases from 375 ultra mag brass and turn before fireforming and cases come out perfect

I'll find out what the word is on the Fathers Day shoot. I know Olin just built a new barn with 3 shooting benches in the loft ...but i dont know how far we can shoot from there, i thought he only had bout 900yds from the house but i could be wrong. Wouldnt hardly be worth...

The shoulder on the 300 ultra is .520 and the shoulder on the Tomahawk is .535 which gives you a 5 degree body taper with a 35 degree shoulder. Neck length is .286

Yes the 338 Tomahawk exists and does quite well. Ray Romain has this reamer and it is based on the 300 Tomahawk case. I form mine from 375 ultra mag brass.
