You can always just rent a thermal scope for a few days. They are absolutely awesome. I’ve used them hunting hogs at night and rent one every year. Why spend thousands when you can rent it for a fraction the cost. You can sit as far away as your comfortable and take him out easily.

I’ve used 4x15, 3x18, 3x9 and 4x. I prefer the 3-18 over all of them. 3x for the closed in timber areas and 18 for the wide open long shots.

Thats awesome congrats! My daughter dropped a Mule deer buck on the run (it was wounded from another hunter) with one shot at 200 yards. I was quite impressed, thats not easy to do. Its pretty awesome when our kids are able to surprise us "older" guys with their abilities.

I have a Magpul on my hunting rifle, its fairly light weight and gets the job done. Runs about $120. I like the Atlas as well but its at least twice as much $.
