How many times are we going to have to this same pointless conversion? We have beaten this to death again and again and it doesn't change anyone's mind one way or the other.
I start 1.5 gr blow max and increase by .2 gr until I hit max or high pressure and shoot one shot at each charge weight. I test velocity at the same time. When I am done, I have an 8 shot group. If it is a good powder bullet combination it will be a small round group if not, I move on to another...
I agree with that if most of your shots are 100y or longer but if you have close shots say 10y. 2" high will put you about 5" high at 10y. That is what I found testing on targets my range. Now I 0 at 100y and adjust as needed for long shots.
A few years ago I used to coat bullets, but stopped doing it because the graphite would get hard over time and it was almost impossible to get out of the barrel. Just asking is this the same thing?
You are testing different neck tension as part of load development, how are you doing that?
Trying .001 shooting 10 or 20 shot group and doing this each step up to .006 or what is your process?
