I found RL 22 to work very well, with 140 or 130 gr bullets. Your OAL may be the governing factor in finding tight groups though, just sayin', Jim

Many of the larger 30s are over bore sized and burn a lot of powder. Its been said here "if it ain't ...", I agree 100%. The .300 Win Mag is pretty tough to beat, lots of rifles around and lots of ammo on the shelves. Jim

I have found that the 210 Nosler partition when loaded with IMR7828 and a F215 primer will give complete side to side penetration on heavy elk at 300 yds. and beyond. All the best, Jim

I have the EW rifle in .270wsm. I got it for an upcoming western antelope hunt, which it worked out very well, making a 380 yd. shot. I purchase rifles for an intended use. This caliber will not be my choice for the elk hunt. Best 130 gr. bullet loads ending in 1" groups @ 300 for 3 shots...
