I tried to shoot the one on the left twice. My firing pin doesn't strike the primer exactly in the center. I had rotated the case a little bit before trying again.

So the DE brake comes with specific instructions NOT to turn the brake diameter down any more than it already is. I assume this is because the material on top/bottom of the ports would become too thin. So a slight taper was used to meet the contour of the barrel.

I can post a good pic when I get home but there is a slight taper on the brake to meet the barrel contour. The DE brkake cannot be turned to a smaller diameter near the ports.

I'm sure you wouldn't want to eat any meat that has moly on it, but it will not affect the expansion of the bullet.

I shoot 48.5 gr. H4350 w/ 139 Scenars (Moly) and 50 gr RE17 w/ 140 Berger VLD (Moly). Shoot these in Midrange matches and both have done really well. The 139's shoot a little better than the 140's. I get 3014 fps with the 140's. Lapua brass, CCI br2 primers. Both are seated to the lands...
