    338-375 Ruger Demon

If you look back to page 9 of this thread there is some talk about the Sherman. I have no personal experience with it. There is no rental reamer that I’m aware of.

Defiance Actions in stock! We now have Classics and Renegade!

I snagged a Classic in LA Rum yesterday, someone else snagged the last 4 Classics in LA Mag. I guess I might know who that is now..

    338-375 Ruger Demon

Same brand dies I’m using In 338/375 Ruger. I was surprised they had them in stock. I’ve had zero issues with them and nothing but great results.

    338-375 Ruger Demon

So far so good. I love shooting this cartridge. H4350 has been great for me. With 250gr Berger EH or Accubonds 2952 is about my average fps right now that my barrel has settled in. No pressure signs or issues other than I’m still running the Hornady brass which is good for 3 - 4 firings before...

    338-375 Ruger Demon

I’m getting faster speeds than that with 77gr of H4350 at 2938fps. No pressure signs yet. Group was 1” at 100yds. I need to play with seating depths a bit to help tighten that group. I’m sure speeds will increase overtime and the groups will shrink too. I don’t plan on going any more than the...

    338-375 Ruger Demon

Good to see this thread getting revived yet again. Yorke and Jasent both inspired me to build a 338-375 Ruger. I actually bought my reamer from AZshooter. My build was based off a savage action. So far I’ve had great luck with 76.5 gr of H4350 and 250gr Accubonds, average speed was 2912fps...

So who has a Savage 110?

It’s the factory bolt body. I sent it to Dan at DarkEagle Custom in NY for fluting and paint. I think it turned out great.

So who has a Savage 110?

Here’s my Savage, not a 110 but a 116. Started out in life as a 30.06 and now identifies as a 338-375 Ruger.

What Rain Gear for Oregon elk hunting?

Yukon’s breath better than any other rain gear I’ve ever had, lucky for me since they keep me from getting wet and having to stay home.

    Best boots

For backcountry hunts I love my Salomon Quest GTX 4d, very comfortable, great ankle support and light. For late Elk Hunting in Washington I trade my Salomons in for my Kenetrek Mountain Extremes 400, hands down most durable boot and also very comfortable boot I’ve ever owned.

    ULTRA light solo tent

I had the Stratospire 2. It was a good tent. I’m curious to see what this new tent looks like.

    Exo packs

I love the 5500. I almost bought the 3500, but after 6 straight day trips into the back country I’m glad I have the extra capacity.

What Rain Gear for Oregon elk hunting?

Very pleased. The Only complaint I have is that I wish I would have had the Yukon jacket many years ago.

    Which Sleeping Bag

The Enlightened Equipment Convert bag has been pretty dang good to me. I went the 10* regular wide. I tend to use it as a quilt in the warmer season and then I run it like a regular bag in the colder season. Best of both worlds.
