    Browning A-Bolt issues

I did have a like problem with a Rem 700 7 mag years ago I bought used. Gun looked hardly used. After taking it to the Smith he confirmed the chamber was rough from new. He honed it out, resolved the issue.

    Browning A-Bolt issues

Aside from a chamber issue or bolt issue I agree with the nickel plated ammo someone mentioned. I’ve read on other forums where nickel plated brass was causing problems but upon trying other brass the problem went away.

Having Trouble with 200 gr ELD-X 300 RUM

I have a 300 RUM in Rem model 700. I will suggest you check the scope rings and mounts to be sure they are tight to specs. Also if you had the rifle out of the stock be sure to torque the bolts 50-60 inch pounds. As far as your load it should shoot 200 grain bullets well. Not sure what you...

    RL25 temperature sensitivity

I use Rl-25 in my 300 RUM. Developed the load in 35-degree temps. Load is at max according to Nosler manual at 91.5 grains under a 200 AB bullet. The load was clocked at 3059 fps at 35-degrees increases to 3119 fps in 85-degree temps with no pressure signs. So the variation is approx. 60 fps or...

Left Handed and found a Rem. 700 in .270, what can I rebarrel it to without changing the action

Re: Left Handed and found a Rem. 700 in .270, what can I rebarrel it to without changing the ac You can't go wrong going up to a 30-06. It has a wide range for bullet selection in factory ammo and can easily be reloaded too. If recoil is a factor I believe there is reduced recoil ammo...

    300 rum

I'm running the 200 NAB in my 300 RUM using RL-25, re-sized brass, Fed 215 primers it yields 3100 fps. I also while load developing tried Retumbo. 95.0 gave me 3200 fps with really great accuracy but had pressure signs. The RL-25 load has proven exceptional in accuracy many times for me. I'm...

    300 ultra accuracy problems

Jeff, Your so correct about mixing chemicals. The Automotive Brake Cleaner idea actually came from the Barnes website. They recommended after using CR10 to flush the bore with brake cleaner as it neutralizes any CR10 in the bore. They recommend CRC Brakleen, Brake Parts Cleaner the...

Finding the right load for a 30-06

Bart, I'm not implying it shoots like that all the time. I will say I spent a lot of range time developing that load. I have duplicated those results a few times depending on me, if I have a good range day. It has not shot larger than a 3/4" group. The gun and load are capable of those .442...

Finding the right load for a 30-06

I hear good things about RL-22 performing really well with 180 Nosler Ballistic Tips and or Nosler Accubond bullets. I have a Remington 700 BDL rifle I purchased in 1975. My current load is 59.0 H4350 CCI-250 Mag, Primers, 165 Nosler Ballistic Tip. 2840 fps .442 groups from a 22" barrel...

    300 ultra accuracy problems

Jeff, Sorry buddy, you are correct it is CU+2 I used. I will say if you use CR10 and use bronze brushes vs the recommended Nylon type it will react with misleading blue patches, makes you think there is still fouling present. Don
