I dont know if this is in the right section or not so my apologies if its not.
first off, what are you guys using for atmospheric inputs? are you using density altitude? corrected pressure? or manually inputting for station pressure and altitude? right now im using a corrected pressure which...
I think there is some confusion going on. The OP isnt talking about having a canted rifle and scope together,He's talking about level optic, canted rifle. Some here are getting it confused and both articles posted earlier address optic cant which im sure most on here are familiar with...
So im wondering if there is an advantage to having less MOA (or MRAD) of travel per revolution on your turrets. For example, vortex offers the razor HD with turrets in both 15 and 25 MOA per rotation. Wouldnt 25 be the obvious choice? Less spinning and more shooting! there must be an advantage...
so I have heard the rule of thumb that i have been using that the bullet should be seated at least one bullet diameter into the neck, How crucial is this? Trying to load VLDs for my 25-06 in order to stretch out to the lands i only achieve about 0.180 into the neck so quite a bit short of 0.257...
Im wondering about the gains in muzzle jump reduction. I want to take my .223 to some matched this year and My research has told me that larger calibers benefit more than small calibers from brakes. is it worth putting a brake on or are the gains very minimal?
So im just wondering if i can switch out the small bolt face on my savage 12 in .223, with a standard short action bolt face? Is it that easy to do or is the bolt body different as well making it impossible. Basically im looking to make my 223 into a .260 rem and wondering if my short action...
Ya I'd say it would! Im using a sonic now and can tell you for sure that would clean them right up Right on the box it tells you to put gun parts in it! It's pretty cool technology actually. Sonic cleaner might serve well known your bench!
I dont see how tumbling would affect any dimensions of the brake. Im sure whatever decision you reached has already been carried out making my post useless but id bet a good amount of money it would be no problem. Or you could invest in a sonic and for sure there would be no problems
there is no doubt that high end electronic scaled are very very accurate. Personally I use both a beam, and an electronic together. I weigh to a close weight with the electronic, then transfer to the beam, which I KNOW is always 100% accurate. The electronic scale cuts a ton of time off. I can...
