Weight vs shootability
My magnums weigh about 10.5 lbs with 26" barrels. My all day carry rifle is a 280ai at about 8.5 lbs- slv hunter

Primers can make a difference.
My GS told me years ago, the only time a magnum primer is needed is when your using ball powders in a magnum case.- slv hunter

What’s the farthest you have taken a big game animal with a rifle?
