If you are interested I know of a Shilen 30 Cal. SS I believe it is 1.350 though I think it will finish at 30 inches. Shilen uses a button for their barrels. I can't say if it is 5r or not. They price is $300.00. If you are interested let me know and I will get with owner.

Thanks for the input everyone. I reload for a variety of firearms. Since I haven't seen much info on the contender I figured I'd ask what other people are using. Gives me an idea of where I might want to start.

I acquired a Contender recently in 223 with a 10 inch barrel. Anybody else shooting this caliber? Was wondering what bullet you are using? Thanks. Tim
