Yep make sure your shell holder is actually touching the die when sizing. The press will flex when you are resizing and this is where problems can start. Also make sure you have enough lube on the side of the case to help. If that doesnt work you may have to get a different die.

I am about to chamber my first 338edge. The reamer I have has too short of a throat I'm thinking for the 300SMKs, which I would like to shoot. I have a throating reamer on the way. If I throat it for the 300 SMK how well have these shot the shorter hunting bullets? What bullets have you guys...

What would you go with? I hear the 40 deg is easier on the brass, less strech. I will be ordering a chamber reamer soon and I may just order a resizing reamer as well. Anyoune used both? Is the 40 or improved that much better? Thanks for any help deciding. Stephen

A few points some already mentioned. Stay out of dougnut. Should have one bullet diameter in case- .308 bullet should be seated in .308 or more. What you can do is load a round that just fits the mag- make sure you have more than .308 depth in case. Take you calipers and set them to .307...
