    7mm08 Deer hunting load

For red deer and Rein deer my go to load in two Sako 85's loaded to mag length (75mm) has been 154 Hornady Interbond in front of a stout load of Re19 in roomy Winchester or necked down Norma brass. Brass weight in the 160grs range. V0 has in our short suppressed barrels have been in the...

Bino/rangefinder combo for hunting and shooting. Zeiss vs Swaro

I'll chim in some, based on personal experiance. ON our side we're allowed to hunt as late at night or as early in the morning you like, as long as you can see. High end optics is obviously highly popular. With the dusk/dawn performance being so important only Leica and Zeiss builds large...

165 gr. Sierra Gamechanger in 7mm08

I've used a couple of 7-08's for a few years and feel People fails to see the full potential of the cartridge For the heavies +160 weight Alliant MR2000, Reloader 19,H414 and similar burning powders seems to work well. You can in normal barells approach MV of 2700f/s with 160/162's. It's...

    Lyman Gen 6 BEWARE!!!!!

Funny - I was thinking the exact same thing, The other way around.... I called you out on obvious mistakes and misinformation and you respond by personal trash talk..... Enjoy -prepping and reloading virgin brass and spending time in a "man cave" thinking up new projects and planning range...

    Lyman Gen 6 BEWARE!!!!!

Since I'm +5000 miles away and neither of our customers are at LRH, I don't see any reason of pimping anything or anyone. And go right ahead and woof, a good call would be woofing in the right direction 1st And as we carry all the units discussed in the thread of any brand I was stupid enough...

    Lyman Gen 6 BEWARE!!!!!

As I wrote earlier We have years of records on returns on all the various brands of Electronic powder measures. Gen 5 and 6's also. Our records from close to 1500 units of the last 5 years are not mirroring your information, actually quite the opposite. GEN 5's is the one with the least...

    Lyman Gen 6 BEWARE!!!!!

Since I own and run a small chain of hunting and reloading stores, whuxh carries all the mentioned units I thought I should share my experiances. We sell a few hundred of the various powder measures each year. If I go back 6-7 years we had to take Chargemaster combo's out of our assortment...

    300 WSM

I currently own 3 - 300WSM rifles, have sold two others. With 75mm magazines/Win/Sako my best allround load has always been 180grs Accubond/Scirocco in front of IMR7828SSC 68,5-69grs at about 2900f/s. Shoots out of my rifles about 1"@300. Thumper load for Moose/Bear are 200 Partition with...

    6.5 Grendel Reloaders????

I'm the Howa importer for Norway and my experience with 6,5 Grendel is based on bolt action rifles Howa Mini Actions and my personal Semi Custom Sako. Not AR's. With 120-123grs bullets all the Grendels I have shot are VERY accurate rifles. My local range is limited to 420m (460y), none of the...

    308 predator/varmint Bullet

110 Varmageddon has been out and in the market for quite some a long time 110 V-Max is another pretty good performer on predators Personally I would prefer using Bal-Tips or SST's in normal weight and take advantage of the lesser wind drift

Finally got a nice bull elk! 210ABLR did its job

First of all - Nice bull. But I'm sorry to say I cannot congratulate since I have more than a little sour taste in my mouth. And I most say I am more than a little surprised no one else is commenting this? A 598y shot is not awfully long at such a large critter, but I must say if you miss a...

A few build questions for Elk/Muleys

Use Your excisting gun, load it with 200 AB in front of 66-67grs of 7827SSC. Shoots under 1 1/2" at 300m in my own rifle. I also us same powder behind 180 Scirocco II's. Shoots ragged holes at the same range. 5 shot grups at less than 3/4" at 300m/330y is very acceptabe :-)

    Light, Longish Range Recommendations

I have hunted and killed a few bears but noen of the really big costal alaskan ones. But from personal experience bears are tough critters and I would personally not go under a medium sized .338 shooting 250 grs or heavier bullets. If you're a reloader I would build a 338/300WSM on an action...
