I've had both. I still shoot my 6mmRem, took two bambis with it this season. I use 100 gr Sierra. I wouldn't want to hunt over 300 yards with it.

I hate to even admit it, I use RL-26 behind 199 grain bullets.

Been doing it 50+ years. Make .277 & .308 rifle, 9mm, 357, 429, & 452 pistol. Many deer & pigs taken with my own bullets.

What is the title of your load development thread? Did you use a custom reamer for your chamber?

I've been trying to find loading dies, RCBS, Hornady, Wilson and Redding don't show them. Who did you get your dies from?

After all the hype when this cartridge was adopted, is anyone out there using it? I think it might be a cartridge for my grans daughter's rifle build .

I've used a Teslong for years with great results, 24 cal and they are budget friendly.

RCBS collet puller has worked better than anything else I've tried.

Started loading in 1968. 1st cartridge was .270 Win. Had to do it twice, I shot Rem 700, Dad shot Browing BAR, required small base dies.

Browning Auto 5, 20 ga. modified, circa 1959. Dove, quail, duck, goose, it does it all and I've never felt undergunned.
