Essentially that is what I did when I went from near the lands at less than .015" to a jump of just over .140". Once I found a sub moa OAL/jump in the are of .140" I settled there and called it quits. Perhaps going even shorter would have tightened my groups, I just never tried anything shorter...

I have shot them in my 7/08 and 30-06 and found sub moa accuracy at less than .015 or greater than .140 off the lands. Finicky bullet for sure.

I never had any interest in the 129, you brought that up originally. The SG for that bullet in my gun would be 1.31 so it's stability is marginal and would not group well so I would not want to shoot it for that reason and it was never in my wheelhouse. Yea the SG is 1.31 for that 129 in an 8" twist. It's just marginally stable so at any distance it's going to start to wobble. But like I said the 124 is where my interest lies and it's recommended twist is 8" perfect for my barrel.
