    338-300 PRC... Sherman Improved!

I don't use a brake on it and it fits in a standard Rem 700 SA mag box, shoots great.

    338-300 PRC... Sherman Improved!

25”, it is now 22” and I use a 210 Barnes at 2850. Your SM will be a beast once you throttle it up.

    338-300 PRC... Sherman Improved!

My SS has way lower case capacity than yours, 2773 was my accuracy load. During testing I ran it up to almost 2900.

    338-300 PRC... Sherman Improved!

Super mild load for sure, I was 100’ over that with the 230 out of my 338 Sherman short. Looking forward to your loading progression.

Have you tried large rifle primers yet? Seems for a few of us that it lowers pressure and can gain speed by increasing the charge.

    300 Sherman Shortmag (SS)

Mine started out with the original reamer, which would now be considered the short one. I did end up getting another .120 added later so not exactly sure what the throat length would be now. The last thing I am going to do is add dbm bottom metal and use the accurate wsm mag I have. That will...

    300 Sherman Shortmag (SS)

I had the barrel chopped to 22” and turned down, compact LTR stock and Leupold 4.5-14. Took over 3 pounds off the previous configuration. Well worth it.

    300 Sherman Shortmag (SS)

Super happy with it now. 8 3/4 pounds, no brake, and cartridge fits in a factory Rem 700 short action mag box with a 210 Barnes. Shoots bug holes

Didn’t see if you are using large rifle or magnum primers. I would suggest moving up with H4350, I’m at 63.5 grains and a F210M in my 338ss, 210 grain bullet. Shot it in cool and warm temps safely, great accuracy and at 2850. No drop tube, full case.

No, large rifle. My stash of F215M is getting low, and they’ve been going for crazy prices.

Yes in Canada the private sales market is stupid high prices, almost nothing available in stores. For the first time in a really long time I seen name brand primers available in a local gun store, cci br2’s, for $329.99/ brick. Believe it or not that is a fair amount cheaper than private sales.
