I’m also a southpaw and my first left-handed rifle was a weatherby markV in 7WM back in 1986. The gun shop had two other left-handed rifles in a Remington 700 BDL 7RM and a 30-06 savage. The Weatherby was a great shooter but I had to rebarrel it about 14 years later. I still have it but...
264 mag using 140gr Berger’s (barely under 3200fps) with a Krieger barrel 1:8.5 twist. Last 2-shot group at 500yds was 1”. Deer usually drop immediately.
This one my gunsmith stamped on the barrel D.O.A. meaning dead on arrival. It's my Krieger barreled, McMillan stock, 264 mag. It's also been a good one.
I named my Weatherby Mark V, with a Krieger barrel, in 7 STW the "Legion of Doom". When I had a gunsmith rebarrel it he stamped that name of the side of the barrel. It's lived up to it's name.
Same here. My 7STW and 264 mag work well for my current hunting areas. If I hunted an area were I had potential shots over 800yds I might invest in a fast 338.
Best I remember the smallest group ever shot, world record, was with a Krieger.
My last 3-shot group at 500yds was 1” with my 264 mag, Krieger #8 contour 1:8.5 twist,140g Berger hybrids, McMillan HTG stock. Scope on 22x.
if lifting weights, consume 0.8g of protein per pound of bodyweight and 0.5g of carbs per pound of bodyweight to stay lean. If you're not satisfied with your bodyfat percentage, should be less than 15%, drop the carb intake to 0.3g per pound of bodyweight. I'm still the same pants/waist size...
On this deer stand, the high-line is only about 20yds or so wide. Shots can range from 50yds - 650yds and they're usually always walking. By the time you see one they're half way across and you only have time to aim and squeeze. No time for dialing in this situation. Electrical poles are...
