If I'm dialing zero is 300, if not I zero 2.5" high at 100, then hold lower third of the shoulder at 100, center shoulder at 200, upper shoulder at 300, just above hairline at 400, and 10" high at 500 yards.

most rifles zeroed at 300 are around 2" high at 100, not enough to worry about for hunting.
