    Missouri Coyote

I have had no success calling coyotes so far with either a mouth call or my cheap electronic caller. Every dog I have downed has been opportunity kills. My last two were with my 40 cal side arm at 40 yards and with the 300 Winmag at about 75 yards. Both were 30 minutes from my elk spots. The...

    Remington 260 AR

Thank you sir for the info. We are building a Dpms based AR with a custom barrel and I will look into the adjustable gas block. I know it won't be as accurate as a bolt gun but I would like to dial in as close as possible. I will keep toward the bottom of the velocity scale and see how it...

One person mentioned keeping the FPS under 2800. With practice I hope to use this for competition and mabey build a bolt gun when I get serious...

    What 7mm-08 bullet?

I don't shoot 7mm-08. That being said I would pick one bullet for dear and one for elk. Instead pick the best bullet for your job. For hunting I have used soft point boat tail 185gr. in Speer and hornaday. My rifle chose the bullet and powder charge. Meaning I played with several loads and...

    Need Advice Please

I recently purchased a vortex myself and the later found out that the Leupolds optics test superior to Vortex on light and clarity so I may trade my wife back for the Sheperds until I can afford a Huskemaw or Nightforce with Adjustable turrets.

    Need Advice Please

My family and myself have used Shepherds scopes and have successfully killed elk and dongers out to 1000 yards for many years with there built in range finder. We like Leupolds optics which for the money are as good as Swarovski but I don't think you can get a good ranging reticle for under...
