Proof Elevation rifle, 24 " barrel, 1-9. Worked up a ladder showing a safe load in my rifle. 199 Hammer, ADG Brass, 80 grains H1000, Federal LRM, 20 thousandths off the rifling. 3081 average velocity, 1/2 moa accuracy or better. Start at a lower charge and work up to a safe level in your rifle.

I've lived and hunted in grizzly country my whole life. I've packed 44 mags, 10mm and just recently picked up a 454 Casull. Have had more than a few grizzly encounters. One things for sure, any of those encounters where I had a pistol in hand, the pistol sure felt small no matter what caliber.

I had the same issue on a POF 6.5 creed. I was using a vortex mount and suspected my wandering g zero may be the mount. I put a set of nightforce 1.5 inch ultralight and the problem went away.

I really like my Nightforce NX8 2.5-20. I live and do most of my hunting in NW Montana. We have a lot of varying terrain from thick brush to some fairly open stuff. The 2.5-20 covers it all well. I really debated a ffp version but the reticle just gets too small and thin. I know guys say too...
