I was just looking at the Montana Rifle Company actions and theirs is based on the M-70. It would also save me the price of blueprinting and trigger work and as was stated before maybe bring more if for some reason I needed to resale. What do yal think? Brad

Thank's fellas, This is all great info. Yes I am still after a M70. I'm just looking and trying to find one worth the money. Alot of folks don't get that I could care less about the barrel or stock and are asking way to much when I figure the rest of the build. Brad

I talked to my smith today and he recommended any belted magnum action stating the 7mm rm and 300wm would be the most available. He also attempted to convince me that I would be better suited with a rem 700 action because of availability of accesories. Brad

I don't have another chrony to test aginst. I do sort bullets by weight and have on occasion done the same with brass. Ive tried retumbo and and h4350 with like results. My barrel is 24" Most all groups out to 600 range in the .5 moa. I ain't relly got a place handy to shoot any further than...

I computed my velocity at 2938 on the br2 range finder and shooter app and was real close on the shots from 400yds and 566yds. If a chrony ain't no better than that what good are they? Brad

I'll have to look at my target from last weekend ( left it at work)for verticle but as I rember I got about a perfect triangle at 566 yds giving .6 moa
