Have a Sako trg-42 with 10-1 twist. want to start reloading. i wil use this for hunting and want a good bullet i.e. accubond etc. 250 grain. need powder, primer, bullet and reloading data for best accuracy. also a good place to get dies.
i have a sako trg42. the old ones have a 1/10 twist. mine has a 1/12 and sako said this is the best for 300gr. dont know anything about your rifle...just adding what i know works.
my trg is the new one with 1/12 twist and i think it will shoot the 300gr. i put a couple boxes of sierra match kings through it but the rifle likes the hornady. i think your correct about the reloading. it cost a small fortune to set the gun up. i used to reload for my sharps...might go back...
thanks for the info. its hard to justify the price tag when you dont know much about the product. have you had ranging problems up or downhill? going elk hunting in the bitterroots here in mt. i will probably have to take that type of shot.
looking at leica rangefinding binos. 10/15 by 56. any one use them? how far out will they range? they dont seem to have a setup for determining shooting down or uphill. do you think its necessary? i live in mt and do a lot of long range hunting.
