    .308 brass whats the best?

My 700 VSSF loves Federal Gold Medal Match stuff, if you can find it. For that matter, my .223 700 VSSF adores it, too!! Super consistent case weights, primer pockets, etc.. Lake City is next, for the 308.

    other bullets for 270 Win

For years I've done the same thing, but with layers of electrical tape (Scotch 33+ is what I use). Assuming the stock is properly sealed, you shouldn't have any problems with warpage. It's turned a number of wood stocked M70 Fwts (270, 284, 7x57) and 700 Mtn Rifles into consistently (no POI...

    788 carbine 308 load

Good luck with that.. Everyone is charging outrageous prices nowadays.. :( Am I glad I stocked up on components years ago - hopefully prices will come down, but the laws of commerce seem to dictate that once the prices get up there, they never come back down to where they were.. :(...

    350 rem mag loads

Go to hodgdon.com and click your way in to their 350 RM section, and you'll find it likes pretty much any of the fast'ish (3031) to medium-fast (4895/4064/H335/BL-C2/etc..) powders. 2015BR and W748 work pretty well, too. In my (you know the drill, start low, work up, etc..) 700 Classic, I've...

    Cryoing??

A few years ago, all we heard was "cryo everything", it was supposed to cure all ills, etc..., but, lately, I haven't heard much. Did/does it work? Anybody here have any thoughts? Thanx, R-WEST

    Sierra Match Kings for Hunting

41.5 - 42.5 IMR or H4895 and 43 - 44 IMR or Accurate 4064 with Federal Gold Medal Match or LC-81 cases and F210M's works great with 168 MK's in my VSSF. In lighter, commercial R-P/W-W/Fed cases, you might get away with a grain or so more powder. You should be able to get the 168's close to...

Point Blank From Long Range 2

Okay. Haven't seen/heard anything from him. Oh well, at least I have the other copy to look at. Think I'll get two of the new PBLRII, just to be on the safe side. R-WEST

Point Blank From Long Range 2

Hey Big Sky - Do you still have the original LR video from last year? It never made its way back to me. Fortunately, I was able to get a second copy from Butch. R-WEST

    People dogging Long Range Hunters/Shooters

Hey pds - So, your elk hasn't discovered an MK won't kill it, come back to life and escaped? Better eat quick before it gets away Love those guys with their closed minds. If it were up to them, we'd probably still be using kerosene lanterns. I'll bet Ben Franklin and Thomas Edison...

    MatchKings illegal in PA??

Hey, DC - Yep, we talked about your better half's family before. I don't know them personally, but, I know a bunch of their relatives. A bunch of our employees attend the Burkey Church, matter of fact. One of the other guys over at HuntChat asked "How can a game warden tell WHAT kind of...

    MatchKings illegal in PA??

D.C. - Kinda figured that would get you going!! Would be interesting watching someone try to get a rifle away from me, or you, or just about anybody else here on the basis of using MK's. The guy that posted the data to which I referred is a moderator over at HuntChat. He's an okay guy...

    MatchKings illegal in PA??

I'm having a discussion with a PA hunter on another board about whether or not the MK is legal for hunting big game here in PA. He says his neighbor is a game warden who loves to take a guy's gun, deer, etc.., if he's using MK's, because they're (supposedly) a non-expanding bullet, therefore...
