What was the date for the Peterson press release?

I’ve had N570 in my cart 3 times at powder Valley, and it’s gone before I can finish checking out.

I looked again and N565 max pressure was 2880. RL26 was 2904. The other powders you listed are a little too slow to get to max pressure before you run out of room in the case. Also N560 was right at 2900. keep in mind these numbers are using a Berger 250 OTM

Well sheet. I don’t know how I didn’t see those. I just got 100 of the 240s in the mail. I’ll have to order some of the 250s tomorrow. The QL data was with a 24” and I don’t remember the vel but it was 2900-2950ish.

Depends on how you load it. I’ve got Norma brass that I anneal every time and it as 16 reloads on it and still holding primers medium-tight. I imagine Peterson brass will do the same or longer.

Thanks for the update. I talked to Petersen about pressure signs with their brass and you likely won’t see them until you are way over. Just an FYI. Looks like your getting promising results. I’m playing with the 265 CELs right now using RL26. With I could find some of the N570

I use the Forster Ultras. Been very happy with them.

Pressure test today with 265 cutting edge lasers and RL26 out of a 24” proof barrel. Ended with very faint ejector marks and no heavy bolt lift. Petersen brass and GM215M. CBTO 3.888”(ish) 85-90gr (+.5)

I always look for it, but have yet to find it. I worked up a VV load for a WSM years ago and it shot lights out. But then I couldn’t find any leading up to hunting season one year. Had to scramble to work up a new load. I’m just nervous to do it again. Looking forward to your results.

I imagine you could get pretty close. Certainly could with RL33, although some folks shy away from it. I think your throated a bit shorter. Going from memory the OTMs give me a COAL of around 3.750” and I’m about .030” off. Also depends on the bearing surface of those 265s and any mag length...
